The Media are Mobile: CCgroup’s Five Simple Rules to Catching Them


We've been working with PRWeek to survey the media on how they and PROs use mobile. Based on results, CCgroup has devised five tips for working with the media using mobile technology. Much of this is common sense, but if one in three PROs are getting it wrong then we need to try to stamp this out!

1. Viva la mobile revolución! Change the way you write media materials design them for a three inch screen


2. Links with everything. Don’t send collateral as attachments – provide links to download all important visuals


3. Handle with care. Mobile phones are very personal devices – respect working hours, timezone differences and always ask permission before sharing with colleagues


4. Move, move, move! The widespread use of mobile means 68% of media expect PRs to be more responsive

5. Experiment. Media report very little use of innovative mobile apps and services by PRs, but they are open to using them
