Ian McCann
Chairman, CCgroup

As founder and chairman of CCgroup, Ian is the driving force behind the growth, success and personality of the business. A press, media and customer communications specialist, Ian brings an infectious enthusiasm and dynamism to both consumer and technology brands. 

When asked his claims to fame, Ian says he has four: launching Vodafone in the early 1980’s; launching the StarTac mobile phone for Motorola across EMEA; promoting Robin Hood for the City of Nottingham and recruiting some brilliant colleagues, over the years.

Included in the maelstrom of this excitement, Ian headed up the Consumer Electronics Division of London agency Charles Barker Lyons, before founding CCgroup.

An expatriate Lancashire lad, Ian is a man and boy supporter of the glorious Preston North End and Lancashire Cricket Club. He’s addicted to watching and playing sport, which means his wife Lauren and two sons Paul and Dave, often share his passions with him.
